Taste, sip and savour your way through the Wine & Cheese Show, running Friday March 18 to Sunday March 20, 2011 at the International Centre in Mississauga. The three-day event features a tasty selection of wines, beers, and spirits and gourmet foods.

It’s the best food and drink celebration in town!

  • Catch delicious presentations at the Bosch Sip & Savour Kitchen all weekend, including live cooking demos from celebrity chef Chuck Hughes, host of Food Network’s Chuck’s Day Off.
  • Relax and enjoy live music in the 94.7 Wine Garden
  • Don’t miss the 3rd Annual Patrón Spirits Bartender Competition, taking place at 1:30pm on Sunday March 20 with Food Network star Kevin Brauch of the Thirsty Traveler.
  • Don’t miss any of the delicious daily seminars with the Dairy Farmers of Canada

Sip, Savour & Scan! Each wine at the Show will have a  unique 2d barcode which consumers can scan while tasting, automatically creating a personal online shopping list for them at WineAlign.com.

Saturday night is ladies night, sponsored by Girls’ Night Out Wines. Admission for ladies is just $12 at the door from 5pm-10pm. Mention “Girls’ Night Out” when purchasing your ticket to get the special rate. Get there early to avoid line ups!

Special Events at the Show:

The Great Ontario Wine & Cheese Pairing: Travel to eight different stations to taste an array of artisan cheeses each paired with some of the latest cutting edge wines out of Niagara. Led by David Lawrason and sponsored by the Dairy Farmers of Ontario. Friday March 18 at 6:00pm and Saturday March 19 at 4:00pm.

The International Centre presents an exclusive Signature Series Event: Beer vs Wine Face Off. Executive Chef Joe Levesque composes four unique, locally inspired courses using ingredients sourced by partner 100 Mile Market, paired with local wines from Jackson Trigg's winery, and craft brews from Mill Street Brewery. Friday March 18 at 7:30pm.  

Crush Wine Bar presents, Slow Cooking: an evening of delectable cuisine highlighting various slow cooking techniques, paired with locally sourced wines from Niagara. Prepared by executive Chef Michael Wilson. Saturday March 19 at 7:00pm.

Savour Local Wine & Food Pairing: International Centre Executive Chef Joe Levesque will feature locally-inspired dishes that guests can sample alongside expertly paired wines from acclaimed sommeliers. Many of the ingredients used will be sourced by partners at the 100 Mile Market. Friday March 18 at 1:30pm; Saturday March 19 at 2:00pm; Sunday March 20 at 1:00pm.

The Beer School is back by popular demand, featuring the International Centre’s Executive Chef Joe Levesque and brewmaster Joel Manning. Four to five select craft beers from Mill Street are paired with matching dishes made with local ingredients from the 100 Mile Market. Friday March 18 at 5:30pm; Saturday March 19 at 5:30 and 9:00pm; Sunday March 20 at 3:00pm.
