The Toronto Wine and Spirit Festival takes over the Distillery
Historic District this summer. The outdoor wine tasting event
takes place in the original Fermenting Cellar of the former Gooderham
and Worts distillery. The event also features seminars in tented
pavilions and fine food. Live music is played throughout the venue,
as local artists perform different genres of music, all weekend
long. Admission includes five drink or food vouchers and a sampling
glass.

This annual festival transforms College Street, from Bathurst
to Shaw, into an Italian piazza with walking access to restaurants,
shops and music on every corner. Some of the cuisine offered includes
veal sandwiches, burgers, vegetables, grilled chicken, shrimp
and much more.

2010 Ontario Wine Fair

The third annual Ontario Wine Fair showcases over 70 wines from
20 Ontario Wineries. Some of the wine makers themselves are on
hand during the event to share their expertise. To accompany the
wine, there are 30 artesian Ontario cheeses to try. Tastings are
either between 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. or 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The Toronto Ribfest

The Toronto Ribfest attracts more than 100,000 visitors each
year. Presented by the Rotary Club of Etobicoke, the fest lures
folks in with live music, succulent ribs, beer tents arts and
crafts show as well as carnival rides and more for the kids.
The Canada Day party includes a citizenship ceremony, live music,
fireworks and food vendors selling barbeque ribs. Live entertainment
is provided by The Cobra Kings, Mason Dixon and more. The Canada
Day festivities finish off with a lively fireworks display at
night.
All proceeds from this fundraising event are returned back to
the community through charitable organizations

Take in the sights and flavours of this festival with days of
food, entertainment and family fun. The Taste of Lawrence festival
features live stage performances with a multicultural twist, face
painting, pony rides, craft tables, inflatables, amusement rides,
vendors, artisans and more.
The main stage features reggae artist Jay Douglas and the All
Star Band and international dance performances. KiddieWorld includes
games and rides like a Ferris wheel and a merry-go-round. There’s
a variety of food provided by vendors including cuisine from South
Asia, Asia, the Caribbean and more. Guests can also expect prizes
and giveaways.

Toronto Drinks Show

The Drinks Show offers guests the chance to sample over 100 handmade
cocktails and dance the night away while taking in Toronto's waterfront.
Mixologists from all over the city are present and are mixing
up all new concoctions. Patrons sip on cocktails at the interactive
bar stations all night long.
Also on hand are recipe cards to take more, gourmet food stations
and a dance party with popular Toronto DJs. The DJs are spinning
a blend of house, dance and hip-hop beats. Stylish dress code
is in effect and the event is 19+. The Fun Buses are back this
year to pick up guests from Union Station and bring them to Polson
Pier. The brightly coloured vehicles are picking up from 4:30
p.m. to midnight each night of the show.
Drink tickets are available at the show and are cash only. A
ticket for sample size is $2 and full size is $7. The price of
general admission includes two sample size drink tickets and a
swag bag with The Drinks Show recipe book.
